Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and DateNightQ, an independent app ("DateNightQ", "we"). By using datenightq.com you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Who can use it

You must be at least 16 years old. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission to make a purchase. When you pair, answer the daily question, start a room or buy, you confirm you meet this age. The questions are written for a PG-13 audience.

What's free and what's paid

• Free: the Funny and Deep packs, the how-well-do-you-know-me quiz, the daily question, and playing together or on two phones.
• Paid: the Lowkey nosy, Flirty and Long distance packs, and any packs we add later.

One purchase unlocks the paid packs for both members of your couple. If you pair with a new partner later, access stays with the account that bought it and is shared with whoever is currently paired with that account.

Prices, subscriptions and lifetime access

• Monthly: $2.99/month, renewing automatically every month on the date you first paid, until you cancel. Prices may be shown in your local currency. Stripe emails you a receipt for every payment.
• Lifetime: $9.99 once, a one-time payment for access for as long as we run the service.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. Taxes may apply depending on where you live.
• You can cancel a monthly plan online at any time: in Settings → "Manage or cancel subscription", from the link in your receipt, or by contacting us. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
• If we change prices, the change applies to your next billing period and we'll tell you before it does.

Refunds

If you're not happy, contact us within 14 days of your purchase and we'll refund you in full, no questions asked. A refund ends access to the paid packs. In the EU and UK, this 14-day refund also covers your legal right to withdraw from the purchase, even though the packs unlock straight away. It doesn't affect any other rights you have under consumer law where you live.

Your account

We create an anonymous account when you first pair, start a room, answer the daily question or buy. If you add an email, you can use it to restore access on a new phone. You're responsible for who you share your couple code or room link with. You can unpair at any time in settings.

Fair use

Don't use DateNightQ to harass anyone, break the law, or try to access other couples' data or the paid packs without paying.

DateNightQ is a conversation game. It isn't therapy, counselling or professional relationship advice. If you're in a difficult or unsafe relationship, please reach out to a qualified professional or a local support service.

Our content

The questions, design, mascot and code belong to us. You're welcome to share individual cards with the share button.

Availability and liability

We work hard to keep the site running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is", and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Ending things

You can stop using the site and ask us to delete your data at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. If we ever shut the service down, we'll give at least 30 days' notice and refund any unused part of a monthly plan.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll update the date above and say so on the site before it applies.
